Hello! I am
Seoyun Elsa Lee
I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to California four years ago. Adjusting to a completely new country taught me how to rely on myself, stay strong, and keep growing through change. Living between two cultures has made me more independent and open-minded. It helped me embrace diversity, adapt quickly, and connect with people from diverse backgrounds. My Korean roots remind me to stay grounded and persevere, while my life in the United States encourages me to explore freely, think creatively, and shape my own path with confidence.
Ever since I was young, I have enjoyed listening to others and learning how people think and express themselves. I have always been curious about different voices and perspectives, which led me to develop an interest in languages beyond my own. After mastering Korean, I began studying English and Chinese to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and gain a deeper understanding of the world through their words. To me, language is more than communication. It is a way to understand emotions, bridge cultures, and see the world through another person’s eyes.
Growing up with a younger brother who is three years younger than me made me more patient and attentive to the emotions of others. As I helped care for him, I learned how to listen beyond words and understand what someone is trying to express, even when they cannot fully explain it. Over time, I found joy in spending time with children, supporting them, and understanding their thoughts and feelings. I have always been drawn to the quiet moments of listening, comforting, and helping others find their voice, especially those who are still learning how to express themselves.
